Abstract

1312320 Oars W R SCALDWELL 13 Aug 1971 [2 Sept 1970] 41959/70 Heading B7V A collapsible oar comprises parts 11, 12 scarfed at 13, 14 and connected together by ferrules 17, 18 provided respectively with a thread 16 and compression nut 20. Ferrule 18 also carries a compression ring 19 which, when the parts are initially assembled, is spaced from the end of ferrule 17 by a distance X which permits the joint to be screwed up tight.
