Abstract

1,236,963. Waveguide couplings. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. 20 Sept., 1968 [22 Sept., 1967], No. 44766/68. Heading H1W. The flanged end 4 of a flexible, non-circular (e.g. elliptical), corrugated waveguide 2 is clamped by a clamping member 1 to the flange 10 of a further waveguide section 3 and a flexible sleeve 7 for support and sealing of the connection extends from the end of the waveguide sheath 2, where it makes a seal, to the flange 10 of the section 5. The sleeve 7 may incorporate reinforcements 8 and is held in position by bands 9, 12, 15. The waveguide section 3 may be an elliptical-to-rectangular transition member.
