Abstract

1437725 Pipe couplings B S GORANSSON 3 July 1974 [11 Aug 1973] 38240/73 Addition to 1282830 Heading F2G A coupling for conduits comprises a coupling means 1 to fit over the end of the conduit 4 and 5 threaded at its free end 11 and having at its fixed end 12 a tubular part which is slit to define a tongue 13 lying in a circumferential direction. A ring 14 surrounds the end 12 and is secured thereto by a weld 14a, this and ring 14 having a clamping screw 15 threadably engaged therewith which can be screwed such that it bears upon the tongue 15 to press it into contact with the conduit. The coupling means 1 also has an internal sleeve 3 of rigid plastics material sealing against the conduit lining 4 at one end and against the free end 11 at a flange 16 at the other end. A drainage hole 2 is also included in the coupling means.
