Abstract

1393391 Waveguide couplings G SPINNER 17 April 1972 [19 April 1971] 17600/72 Heading H1W An end fitting for waveguides, Fig. 1, or coaxial lines, Fig. 3 (not shown), having an outer casing 10 comprises a junction piece 20 and an annular clamping member 14 between which a flanged end portion 16 of the casing is clamped, the piece 20 having a sealing ring 26 in an annular groove 24 and a further seal 30 between the casing 10 and member 14, the end portion 16 covering and being held against at least part of sealing ring 26, but only the part of the end portion 16 radially inward of the ring being in contact with portion 20. Further sealing can be provided by a frusto-conical sheath 34.
