Abstract

Compression engines.-In a radial-cylinder engine, the connecting-rods are secured to a shaft A carried by a pair of stationary eccentric disks B, B<1> upon which a casing secured to the cylinders rotates. A thrust ball-bearing may be provided between the disk B and a sleeve H upon which may be mounted a propeller. The propeller may be drivn through reducing-gear. The casing K may house mechanism for actuating the valves, and it may carry an ignition-timing switch L<1>.
