130,772. Rodgers, A. Aug. 8, 1918. Limbs, artificial.-In the type of foot made in portions resiliently hinged together, the instep portion C is hinged by a knuckle-joint to a fixed heel portion B which is riveted to a hollow metallic leg portion S. This is covered by a leather envelope T, and may have metal straps L by which it can bo jointed to thigh straps 0 in known manner, a spring K giving resilience to the knee-joint. The thigh-piece encloses a block J which is grooved for the spring K. Instead of metal straps, leather straps may be used to connect the leg and thigh portions.
