Bulbs; caps; repairing.-A stopper carrying the filaments is removably attached to a collar which is corrugated or grooved and cemented to a similarly-shaped bulb neck. The corrugations may be helical so that the collar and bulb may be screwed together. In Fig. 1, the stopper e is shown as screwing into the collar, and in Fig. 2 it is shown with a sleeve fitting over the collar and attached by pins h and L-shaped slots. Devices for locking the stopper to the bulb may be provided. A rubber or like washer g is compressed between the edge of the collar and the body of the stopper or a flange or shoulder thereon. Through the stopper passes an exhaust. ing tube i fitted with a valve j.
