Abstract
606,488. Electric incandescent lamps. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. April 17, 1946, No. 11785. Convention date, Nov. 12. 1941. [Class 39(ii)] [Also in Group XL(a)] An electric incandescent lamp has the supply wires fixed in a pinch 4 on a stem tube which has a tubular projection 14 to which the foot 15 is secured. Between the projection and the pinch the stem tube has a flange 13 which is sealed to the bulb. The use of a projection 14 for securing the cap enables the length of the lamp to be adjusted precisely, since the length of 14 can be varied. The cap may be secured to 14 by hookshaped projections which bear against the inside of the sealing flange 13, Fig. 9 (not shown).
