Abstract

575,732. Lamp-holders. SCHIEFELBUSCH, A. J. W. April 24, 1940, No. 7411. Convention date, April 24, 1939. [Class 38 (i)] A holder for screw-cap lamps has provision. for locking the lamp in the holder comprising two relatively rotatable parts 2, 5 both threaded at 4, 6 to engage the lamp-cap. The parts are held together by screws 8 engaging an'annular groove 9 with some play. When the lamp has been screwed in, the parts are turned relatively so as to bind on the screw-thread of the cap. In a modification the relatively rotatable parts consist of a main part 10 and a loose ring 12 that abuts on the end of the part 10 which may be provided with a flange 24. For a vehicle lamp a cup 23 that fits into the lamp casing 26 is slotted to pass over radial projections 14 on the ring 12 after which it can be turned so as to be gripped between the projections 14 and a rubber washer 22 surrounding the flange 24.
