Abstract

1301910 Digger support assemblies COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE JOHN DEERE 1 Sept 1970 [1 Sept 1969] 41726/70 Heading E1F A support assembly for a side-shiftable excavator comprises a main frame, which, in use is connected to and extends transversely of a vehicle and which has a similarly extending guide groove and guide rail, and a slide frame having a first projection engaged with the rail and a second projection positioned in the groove, one projection and the associated rail or groove having surfaces cooperating to support the slide frame for vertical pivoting movement to a locked position. Slide frame 14, Fig. 1, is slidably and pivotally supported on main frame 10 by projection 28 engaging rail 18 and is clamped to frame 10 by the hydraulic extension of piston 40 to pivot cam 48 to bring surfaces 36, 26 of projection 30 and groove 20 into clamping contact. Alternatively, Fig. 3, the slide frame 58 is slidably and pivotably supported on main frame 56 by projection 64 positioned in groove 62 and is clamped to frame 56 by the hydraulic extension of piston 78 to pivot projecting lever 68 about pivot 70 to force lever hook 74 against rail 76 and so bring stop surfaces 92, 94 into clamping contact.
