Abstract

1299818 Packaging groups of containers SOBREFINA SA 9 Aug 1971 [27 Aug 1970] 37367/71 Heading B8C Containers such as bottles 1 are grouped on a cardboard base 2 and wrapped in sleeve of foil 3 which is then shrunk in an oven, an opening 4 then being made, for example, with a heated wire, in the top of the package so that the central bottles may be grasped and withdrawn. The foil sleeve may be a tube, or opposed sheets edge-welded together. For regular parallelepipedal containers which cannot easily be grasped, a strip or tab may, be passed round a container and the ends left free.
