Abstract

1298932 Fire retardant partition UNILOCK Ltd 2 Dec 1969 [6 Sept 1968] 42533/68 Heading EIW A partition wall comprises a plurality of spaced frame members 1 carrying on each side facing panels 3a, 3b whose width is a multiple of the spacing between adjacent frame members, the edges of each panel being supported on the corresponding frame members by screwed joints and supported by one or more intermediate frame members by adhesive, the sets of panels on the two sides of the frame being so staggered with respect to each other and to the frame that no frame member supports the facing panels by means of screwed joints on both sides. The screws 1 may lie between the panel edges and clamp the panels via washer means 6. The screws may also support cover trim strips 8 via the intermediary of fusible clips 7.
