Abstract

1,123,913. Panels. READING BUILDINGS CO. Ltd. 19 June, 1967 [19 March, 1966], No. 12205/66. Heading E1B. A panel for a wall or partition comprises two asbestos boards 1 having secured thereto peripheral L-section metal strips 3 and 4 interconnected by metal rods (5) welded between the strips at spaced intervals around the framework 2, the gap between the strips being filled with asbestos strip 6, and the cavity between the two boards 1 with mineral wool on a wire mesh frame. Adjacent panels in a wall are interconnected by bolts passing through aligned holes in the angle strips, access holes which may be covered by plugs being provided through one of the boards 1. The outer edges of the panel may be marked by a cover strip.
