[Also in Division F4] In a panelled ceiling or wall construction the panels have flanges along their edges and heating or cooling pipes and support members are engaged between the flanges of adjacent panels. As shown, aluminium panels 3 having a width of 8 inches are provided with flanges 5 along their longitudinal edges and pipes 2 and supporting rods 4 are alternately secured between the flanges of adjacent panels by clips 6. The pipes and rods are secured to transverse channel-shaped supports 1 by clips (not shown) and a heating or cooling medium is circulated through the pipes. Each panel is formed with a central rib 7 and may be perforated; alternatively the panels may be stepped so that one half of the panel is offset with respect to the other. A thermally insulating and sound absorbing layer may be placed on the panels. The pipes 2 may be spaced by 24 inches rather than 16 inches as shown, in which case two rods 4 are interposed between adjacent pipes.
