Abstract
1298078 Steam generators ISHIKAWAJIMA-HARIMA JUKOGYO KK 1 Dec 1969 [11 June 1969] 58615/69 Heading F4A A double reheating once-through steam generating unit comprises two gas passages, a high pressure reheater 9 disposed in one of the passages, and a low pressure reheater 11 at least part of which is disposed in the other gas passage, the low pressure reheater 11 being connected to a surface type heat exchanger 12 which is connected across part of a superheater (6), Fig. 1 (not shown), so that heat can be transferred from steam passing through the superheater to steam passing through the low pressure reheater 11 thereby controlling the temperature of the steam reheated in the low pressure reheater 11. Regulation of the heat transfer is by a control valve (16). Combustion gases from burners 17 flow over superheaters 6, 7 and a reheater 13 to the two gas passages which are controlled by adjustable dampers 19a, 19b. Economizers 1a 1b and a primary superheater 4 are also provided. The heat exchanger 12 may be a shell and tube type or a double tube type.
