810,877. Forced-flow steam boilers. SULZER FRERES S. A. Aug. 17, 1956 [Sept. 16, 1955], No. 25264/56. Class 123(2) A forced - flow, once-through boiler has twin furnaces J, K, the combustion chamber and flue of each of which contain economizer sections 17, an evaporating section 18 and superheaters 19, 20 all connected in series, the working medium dividing for parallel flow through each series connected path and thereafter reuniting for flow to a turbine. Partially expanded steam returns from the turbine to the boiler for reheating, this steam being divided into parallel streams one of which passes through reheater sections 36, 35 respectively disposed in the furnaces J and K whilst the other passes through reheater sections 34, 33 respectively disposed in the furnaces K and J. In a modification, each branch for the partially expanded steam includes three series connected reheater sections, the first and last of which are located in one furnace whilst the second reheater section is disposed in the other furnace.
