Abstract

1296734 Ventilators CONSTRUCTION SPECIALTIES Inc 23 Sept 1970 [23 Sept 1969] 45374/70 Heading F4V A louvre assembly comprises fixed blades 11 and at least one movable blade 12 which is pivotally mounted about an axis which is offset with respect to the longitudinal axis of the blade 12 and which lies between the blades 11 and between planes defined by the edges of the blades 11, the blade 12, in its closed position being located entirely between the blades 11 and being concealed by a blade 11 from one side of the assembly. In the form shown, several blades 12 are linked to a common bar 43 by links 44 and blade gripping members 22. The blades 12 are operable either by air pressure or by a pneumatic motor. In another embodiment, the assembly forms an air outlet, and the blades 12 are pivotable in the opposite direction to that shown. The blades 12 engage P.V.C. seals 37 in their closed positions.
