Abstract

1375823 Ventilators CREATORS Ltd 29 Dec 1971 [25 Sept 1970] 45903/70 Heading F4V An air outlet device for a vehicle dashboard, comprises a housing 3, a control valve 4, vertical louvres 5, a control member 6 for the louvres 5, a horizontal louvre unit 7, and a control wheel 8 for the valve 4. The valve 4 is preferably a flap valve 21 pivoted at opposite ends by short spindles 22 mounted in the housing 3. The louvres are mounted in unit 7 for pivotal movement about spindles 30, and operated by control member 6. The member 6 is formed with toothed horizontal racks 37 which engage toothed sectors 38 formed on the louvres 5 in alignment with two central slots 31. The member 6 is operated by a manual operating part 35 which projects through the unit 7 between two central horizontal louvres 28. In another embodiment (Figs. 11-14, not shown) the control member has slots (81) which engage with pins (82) formed on the louvres (76).
