Abstract

1414962 Ventilators CENTRI-VAC Ltd 27 Nov 1972 [26 Aug 1971 23 Feb 1972] 40174/71 and 8431/72 Heading F4V [Also in Division F1] An air exhaust ventilator comprises an elongate housing having a longitudinally extending channel or abutment for receiving an edge of a pane of glass or other panel, at least one air inlet and one air outlet, and at least one motor driven centrifugal fan impeller 124 mounted within the housing within a portion thereof which is of involute form. In the form shown, the fan housing is secured to frame elements 112, 110 which are fixed to the window pane and window frame respectively. The rear of the housing is formed by a clip on cover 150 which is louvred or includes reticulated grilles. The fan housing is formed in two clipped together sections (126, 128, Fig. 3). The or each air inlet and/or outlet includes a pivotally mounted flap which is controlled by the air pressure produced by the fan or simultaneously by means of a cord operable over-centre pivoted spring device (Fig. 7) which also operates a fan motor control switch. The ventilator is made of aluminium or plastics extrusions, or moulded products.
