Abstract

1,033,878. Louvre slats. E. C. HALLOCK. April 9, 1965 [Jan. 14, 1965], No. 15218/65. Heading E1J. An aerofoil type louvre blade for sunshades, screens, &c., comprises a central H-section beam 12 and two elongated U-shaped blade sections 18, 20, the free edges of which are formed with inwardly projecting lips 31 located in recesses in the beam by bridging members 13 of generally T-section the flanges of which hold the blade flanges 18, 20 against the beam by means of abutments on the web interlocking with abutments 39a on the flanges of the H-section beam, so that when the legs of the bridging members web snap behind the abutments 39a pressure is exerted by the flanges of the bridging member on the blade sections 18, 20.
