Abstract

A louvre mounted in a duct comprises a plurality of blades 1 fixed or pivotally mounted in a frame 2, a circular reduced width portion 11 of each vane being received by a mullion 5 which includes a rectangular, U-shaped or, as shown, H-shaped member provided with spaced notches for the portions 11 and a strip or, as shown, a T-shaped member secured to the notched member to retain the blades. The louvre is made of extruded aluminium or aluminium alloys. Spigots 3 of the blades 1 are tensioned in the frame 2 by piano wire.
