1377482 Ventilators FAIRITT ENG CO Ltd 17 Nov 1971 [10 Dec 1970] 58604/70 Heading F4V A ventilating air outlet comprises extruded aluminium alloy side members 10 having flanges 13 which define a rectangular, square or other polygonal opening and outwardly directed flanges 12, the members 10 being joined together at their ends by strips 21, 22 of a metal having a hardness greater than that of the members 10 the edges of which strips are received between the corresponding flanges and elongate lips spaced from and parallel thereto which edges include recesses into which portions of the lips are depressed. The outlet includes fixed louvre blades and adjustable vanes 24 which are mounted in a frame secured to flanges 13 by C-clips. The strips 21, 22 may be made of aluminium alloy.
