Abstract
1293341 Spray guns POWER-SPRAYS Ltd 20 Oct 1969 [23 Aug 1968] 40488/68 Heading B2F A gun for spraying heavy or aggregate materials e.g. stone and cement paints, resin bonded aggregates and cementitious mixes comprises a gun body 11 and a spray head 2 which is releasably securable to both the gun body and the material supply e.g. hopper 1, the head being securable to the body at more than one angular position relative thereto. The spray head contains three passages, a first 27, communicating with a spray aperture, a second cooperating with the supply means 1 and a third containing a fluid tube 22 from the gun body. The aperture may be formed in a plate 4 slidably mounted in lateral grooves in front of the first passage 27 or it may be in a quadrant plate itself being pivotally mounted in front of the passage 27; each plate contains more than one aperture. A cylindrical portion 31 of the spray head (which may be ribbed or grooved) may cooperate with a bore (which may be grooved or ribbed) in the gun body to provide the adjustable mounting. A trigger 10 is provided to urge the fluid tube, which is resiliently urged against the selected aperture, away from the aperture to effect spraying. The tube 22 has a brass tip portion 8. The material may be supplied from either a hopper 1 or from a source under pressure.
