Abstract

1291484 Finishing fabrics KANEGAFUCHI BOSEKI KK 22 Dec 1969 [29 Dec 1968] 62213/69 Heading D1S [Also in Division G3] A flat bed fabric press having a plurality of pressing plates 1 has a steam heating supply which may be controlled by the difference between press inlet steam temperature and plate temperature. Steam temperature is measured by thermometer 9, and signals therefrom are composed in a device 11 with a reference voltage to control an actuator 12 operating a steam valve 7 in an on/off manner. Signals from a plate thermometer 10 may be adjusted manually or automatically to provide the desired temperature, and in the later case and may be compared with the signal from thermometer 9 to adjust the reference voltage. The plates may be closed and opened and the fabric advanced automatically. In a modification an expansion and buffer chamber (8) Fig. 4 (not shown) inserted in conduit 6e reduces the steam pressure.
