Abstract

Temperature regulating system consists of a temperature transmitter connected to a regulator. The regulator is used to control two regulated devices for heating and cooling room. The regulator acts on the regulated devices via a binary counter. The binary counter, via a resistance arrangement incorporated in a reaction circuit, maintains the regulator in an inactive state during a temperature interval when no heat or cold contribution is provided. This arrangement avoids hunting between the heating and cooling condition with consequent saving in fuel. The dead band prevents severe fluctuation in temperature from being produced over the dead band.
