1290412 Alloy steel NIPPON KOKAN KK 13 Aug 1970 [27 Aug 1969] 39010/70 Heading C7A A steel consists in percent by weight of C present but less than 0À1 Si present but less than 1À0 Mn 0À3 - 1À2 Cr 7 - 10 Mo 0À3 - 1À5 V 0À1 - 0À3 Nb 0À15 - 0À5 B 0 - 0À012 N 0 - 0À050 the balance apart from impurities being Fe. The alloy may be heat-treated at 1150‹C. for 30 minutes and then tempered at 800‹C. after air cooling. The alloy may be used for boilers, petroleum and chemical process plant, heat exchangers for atomic furnaces and pipe lines.
