Abstract
1398010 Fe-Ni-Cr alloys SANDVIK AB 20 Dec 1972 [21 Dec 1971] 58788/72 Heading C7A An alloy composition possessing a high creep rupture strength at temperatures around 900- 1000C making it suitable for use in furnaces and in hydrocarbon processing apparatus, comprises, by weight:- 0.05 to 0.4% carbon 20 to 35% nickel 15 to 25% chromium 2 to 4% tungsten 0.2 to 1.6% titanium 0.2 to 1.0% aluminium up to 0.02% boron up to 1% silicon up to 3% manganese the balance being iron and impurities including a maximum of 0.1% niobium, 0.1% cobalt and 0.015% each of sulphur and phosphorus; the titanium and carbon are present in approximately stoichiometric proportions. The alloys may be formed into tubes, bars, plates &c. and solution heat-treated at 1150-1250C.
