Abstract

128,884. Davenport, T. W., and Foster, F. March 26, 1919, Lift valves; rotating valves on seats.-A screwactuated lift stop valve, constructed with means to ensure even wear, comprises a valve member C attached to a lower spindle D which is engaged by a nut and yoke F, K with an independent upper lifting-spindle E. Lugs or handles J, J<1> are formed on the yoke K so that the valve member can be rotated on its seating B to ensure even wear. The rotary lifting-spindle E operates in a nut mounted in a bridge-member, as shown.
