Abstract

154,074. Macleod, A. W. Dec. 6, 1919. Rotary disk valves; seats.-A rotary disk valve comprises a flat and very thin T-shaped element A<1> pivotally mounted by means of a shaft B provided with an external handle C. The casing is made in two parts bolted together, one part being provided with a stuffing-box for the spindle, as shown. The valve A<1> is pressed towards a fixed seating D by a spring-operated tubular member E which forms an adjustable or yielding seating. Specifications 6465/84, 12154/91, [Class 72, Iron &c.], 5841/05, and 21159/11 are referred to.
