Abstract

1286901 Valves ETABS SOURDILLON MATRICAGE ET ROBINETTERIE DE PRECISION 29 Jan 1970 [31 Jan 1969] 4397/70 Heading F2V A thermostatically controlled tap comprises a turning member 5 having a chamber therein and a thermostatic control valve 9 at the end of the member remote from a handle 4. Gas enters the inlet 15 and, when the thermostatic valve 9 is open, passes to the inside of the conical valve member 5. The member 5 can be rotated by the handle 4 from a closed position (Fig. 7) to either an "oven" (Fig. 9, not shown) or "grill" (Fig. 5, not shown) position by aligning the bore 10 of the conical member with the outlets 14, 12, respectively. The handle 4 carries an arm 7 which co-operates with a fork 6 of the conical member 5 to impart rotary motion. The valve member 9 is associated with a sleeve 25 which is splined at its end 26 so that the rotary movement of the handle 4 is imparted to it. The valve member 9 is thus axially displaced by rotating on a spindle 24 of a rod 21. It is also thermostatically controlled by a flexible diaphragm 20 acting on the rod 21, the diaphragm responding to expansion of the thermostatic fluid 19 which is in communication with the oven via a part 18. An adjustable bypass pilot control is provided at 33.
