Engines with two or more parallel cylinders with axes perpendicular to main shaft.- Engines for aircraft have a propeller or main driving-shaft PS carrying gear wheels GW<2> which engage other wheels GW located centrally on a crank shaft CS arranged parallel to the propeller or driving shaft. The shaft PS is located in the engine crank casing.
