1286079 Electrophotographic plate RANK XEROX Ltd 29 Oct 1969 [1 Nov 1968] 53000/69 Heading H1K An electrophotographic plate comprises a photoconductive layer containing a binder material and a quanacridone of formula wherein R is CH 3 , C 2 H 5 , OCH 3 , OC Z H S or a halogen and R<SP>1</SP> is CO a H, CO a Ca/2, SO 3 H or S0 3 Ca/2. In the specific embodiments various quinacridones are mixed with copoly styrenebutadiene, copoly vinyl chloride-acetate, methyl phenyl silicone resin, or polyvinyl carbazole and coated on an aluminium foil. Many other supports and binders are specified. In two of the embodiments R is Cl or Br. An overcoating of nitrocellulose may be applied to the photoconductive layer.
