Abstract

1,272,720. Photoconductive composition. FUJI PHOTO FILM CO. Ltd. 12 Aug., 1970 [13 Aug., 1969], No. 38932/70. Addition to 1,268,889. Heading H1K. [Also in Division C2] A photoconductive composition comprises a binder and a compound containing a radical of formula wherein R 1 is H, C 1-4 alkyl, halogen, NO 2 , OR or CO 2 R; R is C 1-4 alkyl; R 2 is H, OH, OR, CN or phenyl; n is 1 to 4 and X is a single bond or NH. In the embodiments various photoconductors possessing specific examples of the above radical are mixed with polystyrene and optionally chloranil in a benzene solution and coated on an aluminium sheet. Many other resin binders, sensitizers and plasticizers are specified.
