Abstract

1282960 Coaxial connectors ITT INDUSTRIES Inc 5 Aug 1970 [12 Aug 1969] 37736/70 Heading H2E A connector for a coaxial cable which provides a clamping connection for both the inner and outer conductors of the cable comprises a conducting body 16 which accommodates at one end a tapered resilient aluminium member 56 and a threaded member 64 which co-operate to clamp the outer conductor 14 and make electrical connection to the portion 27 of outer shell 22 and at the other end a resilient plastics member 34 and an inner conductor 26 provided with a slotted box 28 to receive the inner conductor 10 of the cable which co-operate to clamp the inner conductor making electrical connection. Members 56 and 26 are provided with ridges to enhance clamping. 0-rings 43, 46 and 48 are provided to facilitate a vapour seal.
