1282715 Coaxial connectors COMMUNICATIONS PATENTS Ltd 15 Aug 1969 [9 Aug 1968] 38109/68 Heading H2E [Also in Division H1] A coaxial connector for use with a communication cable (see Division H1) has the end 7 of its inner contact 6 a close fit in tubular inner conductor 2 of the cable. Cable dielectric 1 and hence the conductor 2 are compressed to ensure good contact by means of a member 12 which slides on an abutment surface 13 of connector shell 9 when a nut 14 is screwed into a sleeve portion 10 of the shell. A resilient ring 15 serves to counteract cold flow in the dielectric tube 1 and to resist the ingress of moisture. The shell 9 has an outer contact portion 11 and the contact 6 is spaced therefrom by an insulator 16.
