1282161 Adding nitrogen to steel NIPPON KOKAN K K 3 July 1969 [4 July 1968] 33699/69 Heading C7D High nitrogen steel is made by injecting nitrogen gas through a porous refractory brick in the bottom of a vessel containing the liquid steel for at least 2 minutes at a rate of 0À02-0À1 Nm<SP>3</SP> /ton of steel.
