Abstract

128,169. Robson, S. T. April 7, 1919. Belt fastenings of the kind having slotted plates 1, Fig. 1, bent into loops embracing pins 4, and secured at their free ends to the ends of the belt, the pins being connected by links or hooks 6, are provided with special pins 4 shown in Fig. 2. The central portion 4<1> of the pin. which is engaged by the link 6, is displaced with respect to the end portions 5 by a shearing action, until its axis is out of alinement, but parallel to the axis of the portions 5.
