Abstract

735,919. Driving chains. ANDERSON, W. W. July 13, 1954 [April 20, 1953], No. 10716/53. Class 24. A chain consists of alternate links each formed by a pair of similar plates 3 arranged parallel with each other and interconnected at their ends by pins 4 riveted thereto and shaped to provide slightly rounded edges 4b which face each other, and interconnecting links each consisting of one or more plates 5 having at each end an inturned hook forming a notch 5a to receive the edge 4b of the associated pin 4. The shape and size of the links are such that they interlock one with the other, and can be separated only by removing them one at a time from either end of the chain.
