1278367 Glass-metal compositions GENERAL MOTORS CORP 23 July 1970 [1 Aug 1969] 35717/70 Heading C1M A glass-metal composition for sealing ceramic to metal, as in a spark plug, and which is electrically conductive, consists essentially of, in percentages by weight, iron at least 50; copper together with aluminium 4-6, there being not less than 3 of aluminium and 1 of copper; and not less than 30 glass. A small amount of carbon may be introduced to prevent oxidation of the metals during heat sealing and 0À7-3 of a glass flux such as Li 2 CO 3 , PbO or BaO may be added.
