Abstract

1275974 Stop motion MASCHINENFABRIK RIETER AG 5 Aug 1969 [8 Aug 1968] 39063/69 Heading DID A lap detecting stop motion 9 for thread engaging rolls of draw-winding or draw-twisting machines processing endless filaments comprises a feeler 10 which when in its idle position has an edge closely adjacent the roll 8 and lies in a plane which contains the axis of the roll, the portion adjacent the roll being deflectable in the peripheral direction of the roll. A switch 11 is connected to feeler 10 and is operated by only a very thin lap to actuate a cutter 13. A further detector may be placed adjacent a draw roll 4.
