Abstract
1,166,055. Break spinning. VYZKUMNY USTAV BAVLNARSKY. 16 Nov., 1966 [1 Dec., 19651, No. 51282/66. Heading DID. In a break-spinning-frame, to ensure that effective priming takes place when spinning is resumed, a photo-electric end detector 10 is provided in some of the units between the spinning chamber 4 and the Make-up mechanism 7, which a feeler-type director 9 is provided in all the units. The detectors 9 are made active when the start-button 11 is depressed, to stop the machine should the yarn break and are made inactive when the stop button is operated, while the detectors 10 are only made active when the stop-button 12 is depressed. Thus, when the spinning operation is stopped by the button 12, the withdrawal of yarn from the spinning-chamber continues until all the yarn is withdrawn, one of the detectors 10, each of which is disposed near the end of an outlet tube 5 of the spinning chamber, then sensing the end of the yarn, and stopping the take-up mechanism. Since substantially the same amount of fibre remains in each spinning chamber when spinning is stopped, the distance of the end from the corresponding take-up means is in all cases the same. Thus, for restarting, when a length is fed back from the winding-means by the automatic priming-means under the control of timing-mechanism or the feelers 9, it is made certain that the priming end will be united with the length extending from the spinning chamber.
