Abstract

1275759 Multiple bolts T & E (DESIGNS) Ltd 7 Aug 1970 [4 June 1969] 28152/69 Heading E2A Bolting mechanism comprises aligned bolts 10, 12 and bolt 11 at right angles thereto, the bolts being simultaneously operable by either of two bell crank levers pivotally mounted to rotate in bores in a two-part plastics casing securable in an edge of a door 36 so that one arm 20 of each lever engages in a slot in a bolt 10, 12 respectively and the other arm 21, engages in a slot on either side of the bolt 11. Turning either bell crank lever by rotating a handle of which the spindle engages in an aperture 24 of the lever either projects or withdraws the three bolts simultaneously. Each bolt 10, 12 fits in a U sectioned link 28 by which it is connected by an adjusting screw 29 to a square sectioned plunger 26 slidable in a guide 27 screwed to the edge of the door. The end of each bolt 10, 12 is tapered and engages in a seating with a tapered edge attachable to the door frame. Alternatively the bolt mechanism is attachable to the side of the door.
