Abstract
1451196 Safety stay for windows R P PATERSON 8 Nov 1973 [11 Nov 1972] 52187/72 Heading E2F A safety stay device for limiting the opening movement of a window comprises a fixture 1 for securing to the window frame and a member 2 pivotally mounted on fixture 1 which can either be locked by screw 3 in a position to block the opening movement of the window, Fig. 1, or be released to an inoperative position. Fig. 2. Both the fixture and the member are L-shaped and lugs 21 engage in holes 11 to provide the pivotal interconnection. The screw 3 passes through an enlarged hole 12 to engage in a tapped hole 22 and may be of the type requiring a special key for its release.
