127,574. American Safety Razor Co. (Assignees of Fuller F. A.). May 28, 1918, [Convention date]. Stropping-apparatus.-Relates to stropping-apparatus of the type in which the blade is carried in a pivoted holder that is automatically reversed by geared wheels at the commencement of each fresh stroke along a strop threaded through the frame. The blade-holder 15 is carried on a rod 12, which, together with the roller 13, is mounted in a supporting-frame comprising side pieces 10 and a cross-piece 11, the whole being pivoted at 9 to the main frame 1. The handle 7 may be detachable. The main frame has curved bearing- surfaces 6 for the strop, and a central depression or channel 5 which, by engagement with the edges of the cross-piece 11, limits the backward or forward inclination of the pivoted frame during stropping.
