Abstract

1,270,321. Internally-meshing gear pumps. K. SCHNELL. May 30, 1969 [June 4, 1968], No. 27459/69. Heading F1F. An internally-meshing gear pump, particularly for pumping pasty materials, having an internally toothed ring gear, a pinion meshing therewith, a feed passage and a delivery passage communicating with an annular space between the ring gear and the pinion in which a guide piece is arranged and a vacuum suction connection wherein the ring gear and pinion rotate about vertical axes and the feed passage extends substantially parallel to those axes so that the matter being pumped is fed to the pump under gravity. As shown, a guide piece 11 disposed in an annular space between a ring gear 6 and a pinion 7 is made in two parts 9, 10 and the axis of a feed passage 1 is parallel to vertical axes of the ring gear and pinion. A pocket 26 in the housing is connected by a passage 28 to a viewing chamber 30 which is in turn connected to a vacuum pump via a connection 29.
