Abstract

1,267,081. Leno shedding motions. STAUBLI & CO. GEB. 1 April, 1969 [8 April, 1968], No. 16941/69. Heading DIE. A dobby for controlling the movement of the standard heald 8 in the weaving of fabrics with a mixture of leno weaves and other weaves has a cam 9 driving a follower 12 to move the heald 8 between the lower sheet position, Fig. 4, and the mid-sheet position, Fig. 5, for leno weaves and a Hattersley dobby 1-6 which is controlled to actuate means 16-18 to further raise the follower 12 beyond the range of the cam so that the heald moves to the upper sheet position (Fig. 6, not shown) for normal weaves. The means for raising the follower may be a wedge 17 which slides under a follower wheel 19 on the follower when moved by the dobby jack 6, or a pivoted cam (27), Fig. 7, (not shown) moved by the jack to act on a pivoted follower (22) of the cam 9, or a fork (36) Fig. 11 (not shown) acting on a toggle link (40) connected to a pivoted follower (32).
