In a positive double-lift open-shed dobby, the baulk levers 5 are brought against their stops 8 by return pressure bars 19, 20 which are carried by a lever 21 and are disectly coupled by links 23, 24 to the lifting knives 11, 12, so that the distance knives and pressure bars cannot vary. The knives are mounted on a lever 13 operated by a cam 17.
