1394797 Hattersley Dobbies STAUBLILTD 28 March 1973 [28 March 1972] 15014/ 73 Heading D1E In a Hattersley dobby, the ends of the baulk 4 are held against stops 8, 80, when the respective draw hook 5, 50, is not engaged with a draw knife 6, 60, by movable stop members 7, 70, which engage a respective draw hook 5, 50, and act to press the draw hook down into engagement with the respective draw knife 6, 60 during pattern reading. In two embodiments Figs 3 and 5, members 7, 70 are bell crank levers which are biased by springs 23 to press draw hooks 5 downwardly, and a reciprocating bar 22 acts to raise member 7, 70, bringing draw hooks 5, 50 with it into a position clear of the draw knife. In an alternative embodiment, Fig 2, movable bars 20 positively Divot members 7, 70 anticlockwise and move to allow the members to press the draw hooks downwardly. Members 7, 70 may extend across the full width of the dobby, in which case all the hooks 5, 50 are brought into engagement with the respective draw knife 6, 60, and selected ones are disengaged by the pattern reading mechanism, or indivadual members 7, 70 may be provided for each draw hook.
