Abstract

A double lift dobby has knives 14, 141 continuously moved by cam operated parallel links 9, 10; 91, 101 and has feeler levers 34 acted upon by a continuously moving pattern chain 32. The hooks 20 have rollers 43 bearing on the knives 14, 141 are tensioned by springs 22 and guided by strips 45, 46. The feeler levers 34 are spring loaded and have curved cam surfaces to keep the hooks raised during the continuous movement of the pattern chain 32.
