Pressing; shaping and stretching madeup goods upon cores and internal frames.- Garments &c. on formers mounted on carriages K are fed into and out of a press, drying-oven, conditioning-chamber prior to pressing, &c., by a continuously moving endless chain F with which the carriages frictionally engage. the carriage movements being controlled by automatically operated stops N, O, P. As shown, the chain F is driven by a sprocket wheel H, and each carriage carries a frictionally held sprocket wheel M by means of which it engages the chain. The stops N, O, P are operated by cams N<1>, O<1>, P<1> on the press. Specification 323,188 is referred to.
